QR code tips: a transfer to the waiter's card, with no service fee
The tips code is printed on the pre-bill next to the UzQR for paying the bill. The guest scans it with the camera, lands on their waiter's page and sends the tip straight to the card. Neither the till nor the service is part of the transfer, so the waiter gets the full amount.
How it works for the guest
- The bill is paid via UzQR. The top code on the pre-bill is the national UzQR with the amount and bill number.
- The bottom code is for tips. It opens a page with the waiter's name and photo.
- The amount is suggested. The page knows the bill and offers 10, 15 and 20 percent, but the guest can enter any amount.
- One-tap transfer. Click opens the transfer straight away; for other apps the card number is copied automatically.
Why it beats cash for the waiter
Guests carry cash less and less, and tips get lost simply because there's nothing to leave them with. A QR code brings that option back: everyone has a phone, and the transfer takes a few seconds.
The money reaches the waiter's personal card instantly. We take no commission and withhold nothing, the till has nothing to split, and nobody waits for the end of the shift or next month's payout. The guest's app may charge for a card-to-card transfer at its own rates; the guest sees that fee in the app before sending.
The page can show the waiter's photo and what they are saving for. That matters: the guest sees a real person rather than a payment form, and tips more often.
What the venue gets
- Tips no longer depend on the cash in the guest's pocket.
- The venue doesn't become a middleman: the money bypasses the till, and your accounting stays the same.
- You can see which waiters' pages are opened more often — an honest picture of your floor.
- A guest who is happy with the service is taken to a screen to leave a Yandex Maps review.
QR tips FAQ
- How much does the service keep?
- Nothing. The transfer goes straight to the waiter's card; we are not part of it.
- Does the guest pay a transfer fee?
- It depends on the guest's app. For a card-to-card transfer the app may charge its own fee: usually 1.1% in Click and Payme, less in many banking apps, and free within a subscription or promotional limit. How much, and from which amount, the guest sees in the app before sending. We take no commission on our side.
- Does the waiter need a separate card?
- No, their regular card will do. They just enter the number once and, optionally, a personal Click link.
- What if a waiter leaves?
- Their page is switched off in the admin panel, and the code on old bills stops leading to their card.
- Can we print only UzQR, without tips?
- Yes, that's the “UzQR only” plan, and it's free.
