UzQR bill payment and QR code tips for cafés and restaurants in Uzbekistan

UzQR is printed right on the pre-bill, with the amount and bill number already built into the code. The guest scans it with any banking app and pays the venue directly, with no fee on their side. Next to it is a second code for tipping the waiter by card, also fee-free.

What UzQR is and why the code goes on the bill

UzQR is Uzbekistan's national unified payment QR code. It is accepted by Click, Payme, Uzum Bank, Kapitalbank and other banking apps: the guest points the camera, sees a ready-made payment, and the money goes to the venue's account through its acquiring bank.

Usually UzQR sits on a stand at the till, and the guest types in the amount by hand. QR✓OK works differently: the code is generated for a specific order, with the amount and bill number already inside, and printed on the pre-bill along with the items. All the guest has to do is confirm the payment, and the venue later matches it by bill number.

Accepting UzQR payments needs no new hardware: no terminal, no extra tablet. You need your POS, a receipt printer and the UzQR stand the venue already has.

UzQR bill payment — no fee for the guest

The guest pays nothing on top of the bill: the payment acceptance fee stays between the venue and its bank, with no mark-up for the guest. We are not in the money flow and take no percentage — the payment goes straight to the venue's bank.

QR code tips — no service fee

The second code on the pre-bill leads to a specific waiter's tips page: their name, photo and what they are saving for. The page knows the bill amount and suggests 10, 15 and 20 percent, and the transfer goes to the waiter's personal card — in one tap via Click, or by card number in any other app.

Tips go through neither the till nor us, so we take no commission on them, withhold nothing, and nobody waits for a payout. If the guest's app charges for a card-to-card transfer (usually 1.1% in Click and Payme), the guest pays it — the app shows it before sending. The venue does not need to split payments or sign a separate contract — the money lands on the staff member's card right away.

How it looks in the venue

  1. The cashier prints the pre-bill. It shows the items, the total, the UzQR for payment and the tips code.
  2. The guest pays via UzQR. With any banking app, directly to the venue.
  3. The guest leaves a tip. The second code opens the waiter's page with suggested amounts.
  4. The owner sees the stats. How many scans, for which waiters, and one invoice a month.

How much it costs

We take no percentage of turnover. The fee is fixed: a monthly amount per active waiter, free until the end of the launch month and for the whole next month. If you don't need tips, UzQR on the pre-bill stays free — that's the “UzQR only” plan.

UzQR payment FAQ

Do I need a separate contract with the bank?
No. We use the venue's existing UzQR issued by its acquiring bank: we only generate the code for a specific bill.
Does the guest pay a fee?
For paying the bill — no: under UzQR rules the venue pays the fee, and the guest pays exactly the bill amount. For tips, it depends on the guest's app: a card-to-card transfer in Click and Payme usually costs 1.1% — that fee is charged by the guest's app, not by us: we take no commission on tips.
How much is deducted from tips?
Nothing. The transfer goes to the waiter's personal card, and the service is not part of it.
Which apps read UzQR?
Click, Payme, Uzum Bank, Kapitalbank and other Uzbek banking apps. We test every printed code on real phones.
Do I need a POS integration?
To print the code on the pre-bill — yes, an app is installed in your POS software. Poster works today; iiko and R-Keeper are next.
